The Network: Advocating Against Domestic Violence established the Survivor Crisis Fund to address critical gaps in the safety net for survivors of gender-based violence and human trafficking. Once an application is received, we will review it for eligibility for any funds we currently have and will provide a response.

The basic eligibility to receive funding is that you are a victim/survivor of domestic violence, sexual abuse, stalking and/or human trafficking. Beyond that, we have various eligibility guidelines imposed by our funding sources.

This financial assistance is intended to be a one-time payment and is typically not available in an emergency.

To apply, you need to book an appointment with an application specialist here: https://the-network.org/survivor-fund/. You must also create an account in our application system, Submittable, before your appointment, if you do not already have one. We will accept a limited number of appointments each month. There will be no waitlist for appointments. The appointment calendar will open on the 1st business day of each month at 10:00 a.m. until funds run out. Please click HERE to read our FAQ.

If you have questions, email SurvivorFund@the-network.org.

The Network: Advocating Against Domestic Violence, works diligently to improve the lives of those impacted by domestic violence and gender-based violence using education, policy & advocacy, and through connecting community members with service providers—each step taking us closer to ending society’s tolerance of gender-based violence. We work to serve all survivors, particularly those impacted by the intersection of state and systemic violence.

Project Overview

The Network: Advocating Against Domestic Violence is excited to launch a capacity building project for organizations serving gender based violence survivors in Cook County. This program will provide up to $20,000 to support organizational capacity building. The project will run from March through November 2026 and will focus on core organizational development.

Grantees will participate in a learning cohort that will share experiences and challenges, as well as attend training and development sessions based on shared goals. The Network will provide technical assistance to enhance the internal capacity of each agency. Topics for learning sessions and technical assistance will be chosen by the grantees.
